The CEO and founder of Autism Today, Karen Simmons, had the opportunity to interview the Lisa Borges, the CEO of the Doug Flutie Jr Foundation, founded by world renowned Doug Flutie Sr, this month and we’d like to share the content of this twenty minute interview with our readers. Doug is a high-energy individual who has a strong passion for all sports. Whether it is football, hockey, soccer, or his favorite sport, basketball, he is always giving it 110 percent. On May 9, 2001, he was invited to take batting practice with the San Diego Padres and throw out the first pitch of the game.

Doug is also a very talented drummer. He and guitar playing brother Darren formed the rock band “The Flutie Gang” with local musicians Michael Gauvin Smith, Spencer Hargis, Sean Jenness and Bobby O’Donnell. “The Gang” has played at several Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism events.
